I got my second opinion today from a well known friend of the family ENT who just happens to be my other ENT's partner. He did my dad's surgery 17 years ago and my dad just loves him so i decided to see him.
Well, after describing him the pressure, pain, and dizziness in my upper nose near my ethnoid's sinus passages, and after he looked over all my old CTscan and new ones he tells me the problem is not so much the sinus cavities, but the actual openings to my upper sinus cavities. He said it is keeping pressure in my head which he thinks is causing the dizziness and popping/pressure in my ears.
So, I am having surgery on Monday and he is going to do it! I have fired my old ENT as of today! The name of my surgery is Functional Endoscopic Frontal and Enthnoid Sinusotomus. He is convinced this is my problem!!!! And let me just tell you what a relief it is to feel like this may be the end of all of this for me!!!!!! After the surgery I will have to have stints in my nose for about 5 weeks he said and then he will take them out on the office. He said it will hold everything in place and help keep the opening wide enough.
I was so excited i was crying. This man is awesome. I just know he knows what he is doing. And if this doesn't fix my problems than nothing else will! This is it!
