Can flax seed help? I've got a ton of it I purchased a short while ago with good intentions. My husband puts it in his fresh carrot, celery parsely juice each morning. I've had a sudden spike in blood pressure (am on medications for it, and increasing them per dr.) but I am wondering if flax seed will help. Does anyone know, if so how will it helpA?

i got the best blood pressure reading of my life after eating ground flax seed, 118/78. i'm 48 yo. i only once had a high reading and i've never been on bp meds. eating ground flax[ i eat 1/2 cup a day] and exercising regularly should bring your reading down. please do some research on flax. it has many, many health benefits. flax is like a medicine in a way. experiment with the amount. i started with one tbsp and worked my way up. i started noticing mental and physical improvements at 1/4 cup level. good luck.

I just wanted to let you know that a friend of mine makes some kind of shake out of the liquid flax seed for her arthritis. Mean while her husband has been drinking it with her everyday and his blood pressure didn't only go down, he doesn't have to take his BP medicine anymore. You don't have to use the liquid in fact I heard the milled or grounded is even better for your blood pressuse. If I were you, I would try it.
Good Luck,
