I'm thinking of trying a new split this winter! I currently use the Max-OT principles for "overloading"! You can either choose the 5 day or 3 day workout! I use the 3 day: Monday (chest, triceps, abs), Wed (legs, shoulders), Fri (back/biceps)! I also throw in sprints 2 times a week!
Now to my QUESTION: I've heard many "experts" say that when overloading or working out for mass, you can allow more time for recovery....like 10 days! Do you think the following workout split would be beneficial for me:
First week:
Mon (chest,triceps,abs)
Tues (cardio)
Wed (off)
Thur (cardio)
Fri (legs,shoulders)
Sat/Sun (off)
Second week:
Mon (back, biceps, abs)
Tues (cardio)
Wed (off)
Thur (cardio)
Fri (chest, triceps)
Sat/Sun (off)
Third week:
Mon (legs, shoulders, abs)
Tues (cardio)
Wed (off)
Thur (cardio)
Fri (back, biceps)
Sat/Sun (off)
Then repeat the splits!
*If I hit this really hard, do you think it will be beneficial?
Thanks for all input!
