I need to get a head shot in black and white and i dont want to spend the money on getting a make up artist i was just wondering how you would apply make up for this i hear there is a certain way and colors to do..? any suggestions?

I would try neutral colors, since you really won't be able to see the different colors anyway. Instead of color, I would go for texture, using dewy foundations and shimmery eye-shadow formulas. The one exception to the color rule is for lipstick and eyeliner. To appear more dramatic, use a dark lipstick and liner. The exact color may not show up, but the black and white camera will capture the darkness and depth and the viewer will get the drama...good luck!

I agree with Tim. Try darker make-up with the eyes and lips. I model as a hobby and I work with a photographer that only does black and whites (excellent photographer too!) and his models use dark make-up to give the picture a dramatic look
