All my friends wear makeup, what is the average age that girls start to wear it? Also, what do most girls wear? I try using eye liner but I always mess up and it looks wierd...plz help I want to wear it I just dont know how to apply it!

I started wearing makeup at around 14, but that was 10 years ago. Nowadays I do see girls wearing makeup much younger. Anyway, I don't know how old you are, but if you're just starting out, maybe just a little lipgloss or lipstick and some eyeshadow would look pretty. If you're young, you don't really need the whole shabang (e.g. foundation is probably not necessary). There are a lot of books that you can pick up at the bookstore that will show you how to apply makeup and what colour combinations look best on different skin complexions. Good luck! :-)

Hey, I am a makeup freak- I love putting it on (me, or anyone who will let me put it on them). I started wearing makeup out of my house at the end of 8th grade (i was probably about 14) but i started playing with it when i was 11. I used to wear a full face of makeup to school- and looking back i realize that was probably one of the most unhealthy things i ever did. I grew very insecure if i didn't have my 'face' on and it got so bad that i stopped sleeping over at people's houses so they wouldnt see me without makeup! I am 20 years old and thanks to my boyfriend I am finally able to wash my face at night and go to sleep makeup free, and then wake up in the morning and feel good about myself in front of him. Makeup is a great tool to enhance what you already have, but if it becomes a crutch for you, you need to cut back on wearing it. I still won't leave my house without wearing at least mascara and lipgloss, but i got my life back.
