Hey guys, I started AF this past Tuesday. I am looking for a cycle buddy to go through this "experience" with. My DH and I have been TTC since July of this year. Last month was my first time charting basal temps. Anyone out there?

Hi! I just posted a message on the pregnancy board and it just got moved to this board. I too am looking for a cycle buddy. AF came this past Monday (Oct. 18). I should be ovulating around Oct. 31 thru Nov. 2 and then I should expect AF around Nov. 15, but hopefully it won't come of course! This will be out 1st time ttc. I would really love to get preggo one of these first 2 tiems trying, because then we will be preggo by Christmas. What a great Christmas gift for both sets of our parents to tell them that we are preggo with their 1st grandchild!!

When are you suppose to ovulate? When do you expect AF?

Oh nevermind...I thought I was a cycle buddy with you, but the Tuesday you started AF was the 12th, not the 19th, right??

hEY Well I think our cycles are a little diffremt but I just started doing BBTemoping too. My doc gave me all the charts and stuff. I started af on 22 Oct and my temp has stsyed pretty much the same theses last few days. GOOD LUCK TO US ALL

This is our First time TTC as well and I am super excited!! I havent been doing the body temp thing though we just are kind of going at it. I started AF on October 11th and ended on the 18th and have a my cycles every 28-30 days. SO I figured if we started TTC on the 24th and continued til the 30th we should hit it! What do you guys think??

I think charting of everything is important, but I do not want to get to wrapped up in it. As soon as af is over for me me and the hubby plan to do it every other day. We are working on our first child and have pretty flexable schedules so hopefully we get it right this month. GOOD LUCK

I am still trying to figure out my cycles...they have been slightly irregular since I have been charting. Last month I had a 28 day cycle and ovulated around day 16. The month before that I had a 24 day cycle and ovulated around day 12. So its hard to say when I will ovulate this month. I am keeping a close eye on everything and am going to use an ovulation prediction kit starting on Wednesday. Has anyone else used them?

I didnt get any cramping either but I have been very nauseous this week. I did the dumb thing and tested on monday!! Hello silly me I still have a week tile I am suppose to AF!! I guess I should be glad my DH baought every single pregnancy test out there!! I swear it he came homeone day with like 10 different kinds of tests. He even found one at our dollar store where everything is for a dollar!! HA HA!! I did have one question and that is does anyone know if you can feel implantation?? I have been having this slight cramping and bit of burning sensation inside of me. Also lots of constipation and serious nausia (sp?)

I'm due for af Nov 11. Have had crazy symptoms this week, and nauseated everyday (way too early for this). Hopefully af won't come and we'll have a good thanksgiving day telling our little secret to our families!! It'll be my families first grandchild, my brother doesn't have any children and doesn't want any!! Good luck to ya'll. Amy

I tested today and it was BFN, BUT.... my breasts have been very very very tender and extrasensitive. Also I dont know if this means anything but after I use the RR and I wipe I feel a weird sensation down there. Not sure if that means anything its weird almost like a burning but no infections I know that for sore cause it doesnt itch or burn unless wiped. but when I wipe in a certain area it makes me need to pee again. I also have to pee like eighty times a day I swear!! I know that it might be too soon to tell. Also I read on another post that I should be able to test two weeks after ovulation which puts me at around the 11th so maybe I tested way too soon!!
Anyway thats whats up with me!! Whats new with you??

I hear you with breast thing..DH just don't understand!! I too am going to by a ovulation predictor kit if this month is another bust! But since we are both cramping perhaps it is a good sign, we must stay positive until the ugly which decides if she is coming or not. I swear I spent years trying to avoid getting pregnant when i was in my teens and now that I am ready, it just isn't happening. Cruel world sometimes. I have heard alot of positive things about ovulation kits and how good they work, it definately would save doing the deed everyday for 2 weeks. Best of luck to you in the coming days, keep me posted. Tons of baby dust to us both.

Hey everyone!
I have been gone for a week for a trip in WA for a wedding and have many family get togethers/reunions. Now I'm back to VA and back on the boards!
I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms that are out of the normal for me. My temps have been staying high though. I am due for AF around Saturday the 13th.
This is wierd: My aunt shared with me what her husband said to her while we were all in WA. But first she asked me when my last period was. I said 3 weeks ago. She asked this because her husband asked her if I was pregnant. My aunt told him "No, does she look pregnant?" They both agreed that I obviously didn't look pregnant. But he still said "Well remember we had this conversation and we'll just see." It's really wierd!! I didn't even see or talk to him a whole lot during the trip. He was only there for 2 of the days. And I wasn't giving off any signals that I may be pregnant because I haven't told anyone (except my aunt now) that we are ttc. I went ahead and told my aunt we are ttc because we are pretty close and felt comfortable telling her since all this happened. No one else knows we are ttc this soon-no other family or friends. So its very strange. He says sometimes he just knows these things. I hope he is right! And if he is then it is REALLY wierd! I still don't understand why he all of a sudden thinks I am pregnant. I am calling him tomorrow to tell him how wierd it is that he thinks that since my DH and I JUST started ttc a week and a half ago.
Anyhow, good luck to all of us!! I hope to hear lots of bfp's in the next week!! I am not sure when I will test yet. Like I said, AF is due around Sat. so we will see.

Amy, I too am hoping to tell parents about their first grandchild! We will be seeing DH's parents during Thanksgiving and my parents during Christmas. Today I was at work and there are these two girls one who just got married and the other is engaged to the firsts BIL anyway, neither wants kids and they say how much they are going to dread it if they are pregnant etc. Well guess who is pregnant!! Thats right both of them!!!! AUGH!! now that is cruel!!! I thought AF was going to come today but she didnt!!! And I thought my boob problem had tamed down.... WOW was I wrong. Tonight after work I got home and brushed against something... OWWWWW :eek: can you say painful!!! It felt like someone was sticking a needle in my nipple!! OUCH!!
I cant help but thinking that AF is coming!!! I dont know why I just feel like this isnt my month!!! Oh well I guess we always have next time and the time after that and the time after that!!! ;)

Oh that's horrible with those two girls...but that always seems to be the way. The ones who get pregnant don't want to OR don't deserve to have kids (meaning they are out partying all the time; drinking, etc.) Cruel it is my friend. Still no AF for me, all through the night I was feeling crampy...but then I have been feeling like this for the last 2 weeks or so...I was at Walmart last night and I bought the preg. test just in case!!! AF is supposedly due around this Sat. Nov. 13, if she doesn't come that day I don't know how long I should wait to test. I have been charting my temps. and apparently if your temps stay high for more than 18 days after ovulation it's a sure sign you are pregnant. so far my temps are still up there, but I dread taking them every morning just in case. It was so funny at walmart yesterday, i bought the pregnancy test plus a box of tampons. The cashier looked at me as if to say I will save you the money on the test honey....if you need the tampons you don't need the test. It was funny!! My temps have taken a HUGE dive in the past couple of days...from 98.5 to 97.0 in 2 days! Yikes! Not looking good! Although my temping time has been inconsistent due to the traveling with a 3 hr time difference that I did last week and then the change in schedule I have had the past few days causing me to have to wake up a lot earlier. But still...that is a big decrease even with not so great temping practices involved. So we will see.
Iwannabeamommy, I am also feeling as though this isn't my month. :( We will see though.
Baygirl, I am also suppose to start by Saturday. If I don't start, I too am not sure when I will want to test. Sunday or Monday probably but I am not sure which.
So I don't know...I don't like this temp decrease. However my aunt's husband has somehow predicted I am pregnant without anyone even knowing I was ttc...he did the same thing in predicting that his sister-in-law was pregnant before anyone even knew. I know that that's not worth much...but it is interesting none the less. Like I mentioned before though, I sure do hope he is right!

I havent been charting temps because I looked at six different stores and non of them had any. either they didnt sell them or they were all sold out!!!
I have been feeling weird crampy today so I think I will have a visit this weekend. Prolly tomorrow!!

Okay weird and slightly humorous story.
Today when I got home from work I was talking to DH and he sat on me and wouldnt get off until I had to pee like nothing other. Then I went to the bathroom and when I came back DH had made some soup for Dinner. I started to eat it and it was too hot and I began choking. Now mind you I was in on the toilet for atleast five minutes just peeing, Well here I am choking and the next thing I know I feel this wetness sliding down my leg!!! I then started crying and ran to the bathroom where I peed again for five minutes!!! WEIRD huh. My DH said thats it no we know you are pregnant!! I laughed
Anyway thats my eventful day. One of the girls at work came in complaining today becuase her mom said she hoped they werent expecting her to babysit all the time and apparently the girl was cause she said "What am I supposed to do when I want to go out for the weekend like I always do. I am not taking my baby with me the weekend is my own time I dont want some kid taking up my me time with the girls!!!" :eek: I freaked on her told her how lucky she was to have a baby and if she couldnt grow up then she should give her baby to someone who will really love it. and then I walked away

My temps have taken a HUGE dive in the past couple of days...from 98.5 to 97.0 in 2 days! Yikes! Not looking good! Although my temping time has been inconsistent due to the traveling with a 3 hr time difference that I did last week and then the change in schedule I have had the past few days causing me to have to wake up a lot earlier. But still...that is a big decrease even with not so great temping practices involved. So we will see.
Iwannabeamommy, I am also feeling as though this isn't my month. :( We will see though.
Baygirl, I am also suppose to start by Saturday. If I don't start, I too am not sure when I will want to test. Sunday or Monday probably but I am not sure which.
So I don't know...I don't like this temp decrease. However my aunt's husband has somehow predicted I am pregnant without anyone even knowing I was ttc...he did the same thing in predicting that his sister-in-law was pregnant before anyone even knew. I know that that's not worth much...but it is interesting none the less. Like I mentioned before though, I sure do hope he is right!

I havent been charting temps because I looked at six different stores and non of them had any. either they didnt sell them or they were all sold out!!!
I have been feeling weird crampy today so I think I will have a visit this weekend. Prolly tomorrow!!

Okay weird and slightly humorous story.
Today when I got home from work I was talking to DH and he sat on me and wouldnt get off until I had to pee like nothing other. Then I went to the bathroom and when I came back DH had made some soup for Dinner. I started to eat it and it was too hot and I began choking. Now mind you I was in on the toilet for atleast five minutes just peeing, Well here I am choking and the next thing I know I feel this wetness sliding down my leg!!! I then started crying and ran to the bathroom where I peed again for five minutes!!! WEIRD huh. My DH said thats it no we know you are pregnant!! I laughed
Anyway thats my eventful day. One of the girls at work came in complaining today becuase her mom said she hoped they werent expecting her to babysit all the time and apparently the girl was cause she said "What am I supposed to do when I want to go out for the weekend like I always do. I am not taking my baby with me the weekend is my own time I dont want some kid taking up my me time with the girls!!!" :eek: I freaked on her told her how lucky she was to have a baby and if she couldnt grow up then she should give her baby to someone who will really love it. and then I walked away

My temp went back up to 98.1 today. That's good. Maybe yesterday's temp was just a fluke.

Hey girls, still no AF for me either. The old hag is due tomorrow and I have no symptoms that usually come with her, but we will see. I am not to anxious to test although I have already bought the test. I am scared. We have tried to get pregant for so long...but i think to see a BFP would be so overwhelming. I will just let it ride for the next 1-2 days and see what happens. my temps are still really high so that is a good sign. baby dust to us all...

*sigh* Well, I know I said I wasn't anxious to test...and I really wasn't anxious...but I gave in anyway and tested this morning. Luckily since I could wake up at my normal temping time this morning I was able to get an accurate temperature. My temps were still high at 98.3. THe highest has been 98.5. Usually before AF they start to decrease 1 or 2 days before AF comes but there isn't a decrease like that yet. So I figured if I am pregnant then it should probably show by now. Well...it was a bfn. *sigh* Maybe it was too early still. Theoretically I should be able to test now but maybe I just have a low amount of pregnancy hormone in my system right now. I hope that's the case!
Oh, and also, I realized after I tested that my urine may not have been veryconcntrated with the pregnancy hormone if it is there. You are supposed to use your first morning urine so that it is concentrated. But I was up in the middle of the night at 2 and 4 to go to the bathroom and then tested at 7:30. So that was only 3 and a half hours...definitley not a full nights time for the hormone to build up. So that could be a factor as well.
Although now I wish I had just waited to test on Sunday or Monday like I said I would. Now I will probably try to wait until Tuesday if AF still doesn't come.

You think thats bad I went to the Kmart by us last night to get some stuff for some family home evening packets and they were having a sell on EPT HPT so I bought a couple got home and tested!! Laura, sorry to hear you got a BFN, maybe it was too soon to test. The good news is that AF still didn't show up for you - so you are technically still in the running!!! I still have no AF and I haven't dared to test yet. I will wait another couple of days. My temps are still high!!! Baby dust to us all...keep us posted!!

Well the high temp this morning was very deceiving. And the bfn was telling the truth. AF decided visit at 2:00 today. If only I had waited until Sunday to test then I wouldn't have ended up wasting a test. *sigh* Better luck next time I hope. Although it will probably be right over Thanksgiving which might make it a little bit more difficult. But we will still try our best.

Well I have had some cramping today and when I went to the bathroom tonight 6:00 PM I notice a slight trace of brown blood!! SO Laura it looks like I will be joining you at the end of the month for another try!! I hate the stupid Holidays for this reason!!! It seems you just dont have time or energy but I am refusing to NOT try!!! SO baby dust to you babygirl hope it turns out and if not we will be in the same boat together!! Wouldnt that be awesome if we all got PG at the SAME time!! That would be way cool to beable to experience the same things together!! What are the odds though right???

Brown blood may be implantation bleeding...do you normally get this before AF? If AF doesn't come then you may have good news ahead.

It usually happens the day before it wasnt much just a light hint! I am pretty sure I am not pregnant! :'( But Like I said theres always next time. You know how women say they just know they are??? WEll I just know I am not! I am still going to test first thing monday morning if my period still doesnt come!

AF has showed her ugly head!!! Last night my temps dipped down to 97.0 and I awoke this morning to greet her!! Yet another unsuccessful month. I don't know what it is that we are doing wrong!! My basal charts show me that I ovulate...just all in the timing i guess. What good is knowing when you ovulate if you can't tell until 3 days afterward. I have ordered one of those fertility tests that you look into the microscope, you put a dab of your saliva on it and let it dry. then, apparently if you are nearing ovulation your saliva forms a 'fern' like pattern...anyone else hear of this? well those of us who got a BFN this month...will move onward and upward to next month.

Well...we will all be trying together again in a couple of weeks.

I just called to check my Kmart here...and they said the sale price they have is 15.99. Just a couple of dollars cheaper than I already got it. Too bad.

The opks did tell me when I was about to ovulate when I used it 2 times a day...however it is supposed to be that when you get a positive reading that you are supposed to ovulate 24-36 hrs later (something like that). Well I think I ovulated really soon after my positive reading. I think that is why we may have been unsuccessful in our ttc attempts. I don't think there was enough time for the sperm to get to the egg. So next time I get a positive reading I want to try to go for it right then...not wait until the evening like I did last time. So remember that it is good to start BDing before actually getting the positive opk becuase sperm can live for 4 days sometimes. But when you do get that positive opk then you know you really don't want to miss any BD time.
