Hi all. Being 32 and getting more pimples than I did 18 years ago is not a good look! I seem to get them around the time I ovulate...is this normal..I thought the premenstrual phase was when people normally got them. Any good products that unclog my blocked pores and help the zits!!!

First off, I would start monitoring the Acne Board, they are a really great and helpful bunch. I, too, breakout more around my period. I'm 26. Some things that have worked for me:
Soap: Burt Bees Wild Lettuce Soap and Toner (all natural)
Mask: queen helene's mint julep mask (i think they have a facial scrub, too)
meds: try azelex or skinoren, which you can get online for about 22 w/o a perscription. They're the same thing, just one is the name of the non-us brand. They work wonderfully.
non-med: Oil of Olay regenerist serum (not cream or lotion)
spot treatment: clearisil adult formula (it really shrinks ones under the surface)

Good Luck!

I had the same problem. Clinique soap and clarifying lotion is wonderful. I started my daughter on these when she was a young teen and she never had a breakout. She is 21 now, still uses them and has beautiful skin.

Welcome to the club. I started breaking out and drying out at a ridiculous rate last year. I'm now 35 and finally have it under control. I use a ton of BP product and then moisturizer. I found this regiman online when searching. I also use Queen Helen's Mint Julip Mask as an exfoliator and sometimes a spot treater. It works great too.

i use ProActiv and it cleared up my skin nicely. It's a lil harsh I think. But it did the job. :-D i'll still suffer from occasional break outs but its nothing compared to what i was suffering before ::shudders:: i ordered it online for $39.95 i think.

Unfortunately, you're never too old. I'm 37 and still have acne. My aunt is in her 60s and still has problems. How depressing is that!

Birth control pills are often effective in treating hormonal acne. Yasmin is a favorite on the acne board, but I'm sure there are others that work as well.
