My dad has had high blood pressure all his life, he has kept it under control with medications. Two years ago he had fluid in his lungs we went to the hospital and his creatine level was 3.4 and bun 45. Doctors said his kidneys may be failing from long term blood pressure. He has checked his kidneys two years ago and they were normal. All of a sudden las year the doctors now say he needs dialysis he aslo has heart failure, diabetes, heart blockage.
They discovered during his last hospital stay that he has a blockage however they cannot do anytihng at this point becuase his kidneys can't handle the dye for an angioplasti. He has swelling in his legs, his creatine is 3.1 abd bun 60. Is there anyone who can give some insight or any information about a similar problem and how it was resolved. I am trying to save his kidney from dialysis, and no one seems to know what is the best thing.
