Has anyone tried Lip Ink? It's supposed to be a semi-permanent lipstick. I saw it profiled on "Stripped" and wondered if anyone has tried it or any of their other products and if the claims are real? I've yet to find a longlasting lipstick that won't come off.

I have several tubes of this. I use it as a color base under regular lipstick. It can be drying. It works really well though.

It definitely stays on, the trouble is there is a "conditioning" period where it really dries the heck out of your lips and burns and stings like crazy. I was told it would take about two weeks and I stuck with it for three weeks because I really loved having a lasting lipstick that doesn't leave lip marks everywhere but my gloss ended up full of bits of my lip, yuck!, and I was still peeling and in *pain* so it ultimately just did not work for me, unfortunately. I had much better luck with Senegence... for me the lipink seemed a bit easier to apply and also I liked the color selection better, however the Senegence lasts just as well (I've got a blood red color and I can put it on before showering and washing my face in the morning and even scrub dry my lips with a white washcloth and it's all still there like I just put it on.) It's tricky applying it though, at least for me, maybe because my lips are fat so the wand can't get my whole lip with one swipe and the part where the two swipes meet looks darker, and that *stays* if I make a mistake, so I ended up just using covergirl outlast... it's not as lasting and it's more drying and it can smear off a bit and it's more like a lipstick, whereas the senegence felt like I was wearing nothing because it seems to stain the lips rather than float on top (you do need the lipgloss though to keep the lips moisturized throughout the day, the senegence gloss is actually one of my favorite glosses, it feels so good and is uber shiney), but with the outlast I can rub my lips together to make certain it's all even before it sets, so it's just easier and cheaper.
