They are telling me that it won't be painful, but I find it hard to believe. lol Will it be similar to menstrual pain? And as far as bleeding - I'm wondering how much there will be and how long it will last. I'm really not looking forward to this. I'm a big baby when it comes to doctors. :( Is there anything else I should know before I go in for this?

It's not painful, or it wasn't for me. But it is "uncomfortable".
I bled a little afterwards, just used a normal sanitary towel and there wasn't too much blood loss.
I did have stomach cramps which were slightly more painful than my usual period cramps once I got back home and the pain relief had worn off so I took some tablets and held a hot water bottle on my stomach for a while, and the pain did ease off.
