I heard the end of an ad on my local radio station (cannot remember which one) where one of the personalities described a treatment where he laid on a table, they did something inside his ears and he left a non-smoker - going on three weeks or something close to that.
What the heck is this - accupuncture, lasers, air, what? I cannot find any info on the net about it.... hoping someone here may know or have heard of it. The next thing would be hypnotism for my husband. I've heard that works very well. Anyway, he wants to quit but has been unsuccessful with other programs to this point - which reinforces my belief that you cannot quit unless you REALLY want to. I did.
THANKS!

It was probably ear acupuncture. You are correct; for any method of smoking cessation to work, one has to be ready to quit. There are no easy answers. Whether the quitter uses will power, nicotine replacement, zyban, hypnosis, acupuncture, or any of the other schemes that people try to sell us, to be truly successful in a long-term quit, one must work at it.
