I have been experiencing brief, sporadic stabbing or piercing pains in the area of my left ovary. This just happened on Sunday AM, a little bit later that same afternoon, and for a few minutes this AM. I am wondering if maybe this is due to a ruptured cyst.

The only other discomfort I have experienced was back in April when just for a few minutes on a couple of occasions I experienced a similar pain. But I had just been physically examined in March, with no mention of finding/feeling any cysts.

Should I be concerned? I haven't noticed any other symptoms such as nausea, bloating, fatigue, etc.

A ruptured cyst is excrutiating. You would know.

Is this the middle of your cycle? Sometimes ovulation can cause stabbing pains around the ovary. Hopefully it is just that. You may have a cyst, but I wouldn't worry just yet.
