however, my ENT found more things wrong w/me once he got in and got a good look. Figures! So, he took 45 minutes more w/me in surgery than he had planned on. He found that there was bad scar tissue from the first surgery last year and removed it, that i had a deviated septum and he had to fix that, had to strip some membranes because i was so shut and blocked in my sinus passages. He removed a whole bunch of yucky stuff from my upper sinus's. He did put stints in and will remove them in 5 weeks. He says he doesn't know or understand how i functioned the last 9 months.

Anyhow, I am in pain today and taking it easy. On antibiotic,Hydrocodine for pain. Taking it easy and resting. At this point because I'm so in pain and not healed I'm not sure if my dizziness is really better or not. It does seem like I am not as dizzy and when i lay down i don't feel like I am moving. So, maybe this was it! I don't know. Time will tell! I have heard that deviated septums can cause dizziness like i have had so hopefully now that it is fixed it will go away.

I feel so blessed to have a new ENT who seems to know what he is doing and cares for his patients. He is so nice he actually called me from his house this morning to see how I am feeling. I should have been seeing him all along! I am so angry w/my former ENT for doing nothing and letting me stay in such bad shape all this time. People are already telling me i should consider suing, but at this point I just want to feel better, get well, and worry about that kind of stuff later.

Anyhow, I'm resting for now and staying in bed for the most part. Just wanted to come on and tell you all how i was, not great, but i think i am on my way to a full recovery!

Sounds like you had some severe damage. Did he say he was able to completely fix all of the problems?

He says he doesn't know or understand how i functioned the last 9 months.

It's great when the surgeon gets in there and finds the source(s) of your misery and fixes it. You might feel so great that you'll have to stuff up your nose deliberately, once in a while, just for old times sake!

I am so angry w/my former ENT for doing nothing and letting me stay in such bad shape all this time.

You're lucky that you finally found a compassionate, competent ENT. I don't understand why your other doctor would just leave you in misery, and not put out the extra effort to try and cure your problems. Some of these doctors must not have any conscience.

Really looking forward to progress reports!

Best of luck with a speedy and full recovery!

Yes, my ENT thinks that this will have cured me competely!! He thinks I will feel so much better now. Man, I hope he is right. Good thing is that I have been dizzy for 9 months straight and today for the first time I don't feel dizzy. I'm hoping this is a good sign that surgery was a success!

Anyhow, going to bed! Trying to get as much rest as i can. Will start irrigating tomorrow. I will post updates every day if i can.
