I just got a call from my Doctor. My follow up pap ( I had cryo in July ), is not only normal, but the HPV is negative. Now for those of you that might remember my story, I had a ASCUS pap-negative HPV, then LGSIL pap, then the biopsy came back CIN I-II suggestive of HPV.
This is wonderful news for me, but I wonder now if I was HPV negative the whole time and the lab had made a mistake. The 2 HPV tests that I had done that came back negative listed each strand specifically, and the one that came back suggestive didn't list any specifically.
I'm glad I sought a second opinion and now have a wonderful Doctor. I hope for everyone here the same great news I got today and good health to all!!!
