Can someone tell me the difference? Asthma may lead to the symptoms of trouble breathing and therefore dizziness which are the exact same symptoms of anxiety. My doc told me (after I did a breathing test) that my lungs were fine but I still don't rule out asthma. Can someone tell me the unerlying difference(s) ? Or is there something I can do to test it out myself? thx

You sort of answered your own question. If you passed a breathing test and your doctor listened to your lungs then they are fine. I have the same problem. I cant get a full breath a lot of times and it feels like Im always catching my breath. The doctor said my lungs are fine too. I still cant believe it because they feel tight a lot of times. I guess anxiety can do that though. It is very frustrating.
My doctor told me if I had asthma thier would be wheezing and I wouldnt be able to breathe out air at the rate I am.

Also, if you get a peak flow meter they are pretty cheap and then when you feel short of breath you can use it to see if you have asthma. Every time I use one I always get high readings, even when Im short of breath, which supports that my prob is more anxiety.
