Ladies,
I got my biopsies back today, still High grade Severe dysplasia so I need the Leep ( the ECC biopsy/scraping came back negative!!!). I have a choice to be alseep or awake, and I have to make a decision in the next several days. I know the benefits of being asleep are that you feel nothing during the procedure, but I am nervous about being put under, as it can be an added uncessary risk. On the flip side Im kind of nervous about being awake Only because I dont know what to expect. So Im asking those who have had this procedure for advice! Also I cant have the epinepherine shot, so I will be cauterized either way.
It is also much less money to have it done awake in the office...as the bill for the hospital, anesthesiologist, Dr, etc all add up (My insurace pays 70 % until I hit my deductible)
Thanks in advance to anyone who offers advice,
Kelly
