My blood tests have come back with sliglhtly elevated alkaline phostatase levels in the last 5 years. That's the only enzymes that are elevated. What does this normally indicate? Thanks!

An elavated alkaline phos. MAY mean that there is some damage to the bile ducts. REMEMBER - many meds including antibiotics can raise this level.
Meds can raise liver enzymes as well. I would ask your doctor to repeat the blood work and then dicuss the results with him. Or ask for a referral to a GI doctor who deals with liver problems. Sometimes they need to do further exploring to get to the cause of the raised levels. It is a good idea to find out why they are raised thoough. Good luck to both of you. Tina

If you smoke cigarettes, your alkaline Phosphotase test will be off. An elevated c-reactive protein test is associated with gout, kidney disease, and can be elevated in rheumatoid arthritis.
