Has anyone tried Loreal Double Extend Mascara? It's the one with a double tube....one side has this white extender creme that you first brush on your lashes, then the other side has the (color) Magnifier, which is like regular mascara color, that you brush over the extender creme.
If you use it, my question is.....after brushing on the (white) extender creme, do you wait a few minutes for it to "dry" before brushing on the Magnifier color? Or do you just apply the Magnifier color immediately after the extender? (the instructions don't give you any idea!)

You wait a couple of minutes for the extender to dry.
I liked the way it made my lashes look, but I had terrible flaking from the fibers, so I had to stop using it.

Haven't used it myself but that's because I was put off by all the negative reviews I've read about it being messy and flaking.

I have not tried the Loreal kind, but I did buy the Maybelline XXL stuff. It's the same kind of deal, where you put the white stuff on first, then the black. I let the white stuff dry only as long as it takes me to do both upper and both lower lashes, then I start in with the black. The white is mostly dry by this time and that seems to work pretty well.
At first, I didn't like this mascara, but I read on here that someone else said it actually got better after a week or so, and they were right!! Now, I LOVE it! I haven't had a problem with flaking at all, even though it removes easily with soap and water or make-up remover.

Hmmm...I haven't had any problem with the Loreal Double Extend Mascara flaking. I really like it a lot so far...it really makes my short lashes longer.

Clinique makes the same thing and i think its great. But i apply the mascara right after the primer coz if u wait for it to dry then it doesnt seperate your lashes.

I love maybelline XXL also. It applies much better after it dries up a bit in the tube, maybe a week or two. I always apply the mascara right after the primer while it is still wet. I have learned a new trick with it....I apply more of the primer to like the last few outer lashes so it is pretty thick, then when I apply the mascara there it looks like I have a few fake lashes on the outside. It really makes a difference!

I haven't had flaking problem either. I really like this mascara. I only let the white dry long enough to do the other eye.
Good luck

Maybeline copied Estee' Lauder in making the double extend stuff  . Estee' Lauder (for decades) carries a "lash primer" that is white as well and it conditions and thickens....IT IS WONDERFUL! It sells for about $17....then you get the Estee' Lauder mascara to go over it....i've never ever in my life saw my lashes thicker or longer. If you want the best in mascara, go to Estee' Lauder. It costs about $35 bucks for the mascara and the primer, but its so worth it...it just glides on beautifully and WOW what a difference. I went and bought the double extend and it doesnt even compare to the EL mascara....maybeline's is all flaky and dry! Estee' Lauder's is creamy, rich and THICK! :)
Lancome also sells an excellent line of mascara. If you have the money...dont use mascara from wal-mart...go get the good stuff....you'll see the difference...and they last longer too.
