I have been a life long allergy/asthma sufferer who has had the works in treatment over the course of my 33 years (allergy shots for 5 years as a adolescent, more skin tests after those were ineffective, and tried every drug out there). The last four years or so I developed a new fun reaction where my eyes would randomly swell shut. What they were reacting to was often hard to tell and absolutely NO doctors or allergists could help me (Several suggested skin tests and shots! How bout some Allegra?). Then as the swelling became more prevalent (every two weeks), and also began to make my throat swell shut, decided it was time to seek alternative treatment. I first tried something called NAET (a form of accupressure) which might have helped the allergies in general a bit but I was still having the eye swells. I then saw a neuromodulation practitioner, which has changed my life. She found out my eye reactions were stemming mostly from toxins, and after 3 or 4 treatments my eyes have completely stopped swelling shut. My last eye swell was over 2 months ago and while I still have more treatments yet for my other allergies, my life has already changed so much for the better. The treatment is fairly new-2 years old, and is having amazing healing effects. If you are at your wits end, please go to the website
(http://www.neuromodulationtechnique.com/) and find a practitioner in your area. Your doctor probably has not heard of this method, but it works like nothing ever has for me. I will no longer have to visit the allergy healthboards any longer!! This is my last post.

People here often wonder why no one seems to get any relief. Glad to hear it worked for you. YOu may want to rethink the 'last post' thing. Many people need help and it's not just about you. Maybe you can recommend your treatment from time to time.

You're right! I guess part of my reservation in continuing to preach my story is the amount of discouragement I've rec'd from others when talking about deciding to go to alternative treatments. Western medicine has truly duped much of the population by trying to debunk things they don't know how to document/explain.
While I will continue to take my asthma meds for awhile longer out of habit/comfort/security, I am done purchasing the allergy sinus/antihistimines (How much I've spent over my lifetime?!). While health insurance probably won't be covering neuromodulation, the investment pays off when you consider how much you'd be spending on expensive perscription allergy drugs the rest of your life. Neuromodulation is a healing solution.
