I'm so excited! DH and I are going to start ttc next weekend!! (Right around Oct. 31) Anyone else out there that will be ovulating and ttc around Oct. 31 through Nov. 2? I should be ovulating around then and then will be expecting AF around Nov. 15...but hopefully AF will not show up of course.
Originally we were going to wait until Dec. to ttc. Then we decided Nov. Well now we are starting in Oct. (We thought perhaps I had become preggo this last cycle earlier than expected...but no. Many of you may have read my posts about that.)
I'll be interested to hear if anyone out there is on the same cycle as me! We are really hoping to get preggo on one of these first 2 trys. Then we would be preggo by Christmas! What a great Christmas gift for both sets of our parents to tell them that we are preggo with their 1st grandchild!! I know I can't get my hopes up too much, but I hope it happens that soon. Not only would that mean no more ttc because we will have succeeded...but it would just be so much fun for Christmas!

According to all the "charting" methods i should be ovulating around the 29/30 of October, so it isn't that far off. I wish you all the luck in the world. My DH and I started trying in late June. I thought it would be a breeze and we would get pregnant the first month. but here I sit in October with still no baby. Let me know how things work out for you. Wishing you all the best-

Baygirl,
When will you then be expecting AF and hoping to test and get a BFP? I would be expecting AF around Nov. 15 after ovulating around Oct. 31.
Good luck to you too!

My last period started on the 11th of October and ended on the 18th. if I have a 28-30 day cycle and all my periods last 7 days. When would you say just from a guess point that I would be ready to TTC??? I am very excited and I am hoping it is soon!! Thanks for your help

I would be expecting the evil AF on or around Nov. 13. Which would make ovulation time around 29/30 of October. I am charting my basal temps again this month (second month) and am hoping last month's charts have given me better insight on this whole thing. wishing you ton's of luck.

Hi everyone. I will be ttc, but not sure of my cycle right now. I just had a failed ivf, so I'm hoping to get back on schedule soon. I posted before on the pregnancy board. I didn't know there was a ttc board. It's nice to have others to go through this with. Although this will be my 6th child, it is still just as exciting. Hoping I'm not too old at 37. Prayers for bfp's for everyone!

Living4Him,
I read your posts about IVF and gender selection on the pregnancy board. I'm so sorry it didn't work out. Good luck while you continue to ttc. And wow...your 6th child! I can't even imagine that! Although my aunt has 5 children...and oh aren't they adorable...or handsome for those that are getting older!
I think the TTC board is new. It only has a couple of pages of posts. Its nice to have to find those that are not yet preggo but ttc!
Good luck to all of us!! Keep us posted...let us know when you have figured out your cycle.

Can't believe I'm glad to see af! But that means I'm getting back on track. The nurse told me I may ovulate later than usual because of the meds from ivf. So I will be temping and using an opk. Hopefully this won't take too long! Hope everyone else is staying positive! BFP's by next month!

Living4Him,
I too am temping and using OPK's. I am not certain when I ovulate...it seems to jump back and forth from around day 12 to around day 16 each month. So far in my charting it has been day 16, then day 12, then day 16, and then we will see for this month. This coming Friday is day 12 for me.
Are you still trying gender selection? Like with the Shettle's Method now? We are trying it but I am seeing that it may be difficult since I don't know my exact ovulation date. So we will see. I would rather just be pregnant soon then have to wait a lot longer by trying gender selection methods by timing intercourse at the right time. This will be our first child. I realize now that I will try to chart well ahead of time before trying for our next child in the future. I'll plan ahead much more in advance. We have planned somewhat in advance this time but have kept pushing out ttc start time sooner.
Good luck to us all...I can't wait to start hearing updates in a couple of weeks or so!

I am just trying not to be stressed from work or let alot of little things bother me cause I want to be sure to ovulate on time and hopefully have a normal cycle this month. I should ovulate the first week in Nov. AF just left so i think hubby and I may just start having woopie every other day intil the 6th when I leave for a work trip.
I took my first fertiity blend today and am supposed to take 3 a day. It says it may not work until a few cycles but some people have noticed a change the first cycle so I HOPE THIS IS A GOOD MONTH.

Rach,
What kind of hcange is there suppose to be with the fertility blend??
On another note, my DH is so sure of a couple of things. 1-He is so sure that we will be able to pinpoint ovulation exactly and predict hwen it will occur and 2-He is so sure that it will be easy to get pregnant in the first couple of tries. Well...I am telling him that it may not happen that easily and quickly. I'm surely not getting my hopes up. I will be very pleasantly surprised if I get preggo so soon just becuase I see how so many people do have to wait a while and/or have difficulties of some sort. So I'm not getting my hopes up too much although I would really like to be preggo in one of the first two tries. I hope he isn't getting his hopes up too much.
Anyhow, I am starting to show some fertile signs. As of Thursday I am on Day 11. I'm waiting for that positive OPK. I hope it will work correctly! I am testing with an OPK 2 times a day in order to be able to catch the LH surge. I hope I will be ovulating soon...because I am already tired of waiting for my most fertile time to come and for ovulation to be hear. lol Next I will be tired of waiting for possible AF. It's not ever going to end until I'm preggo, huh?
Happy BDing and TTC!!

Congratulations, isn't it exciting!!
I went off the pill a month ago, but have not goten a period yet, and ovulation predictors have not been positive (they say that's normal after being on the pill for so long). Frustrating to not know when is the "right" time, so we just keep practicing. My plan was originally December as well, but we couldn't wait. Good luck! I could get my period any day now, or I could be pregnant (barely). I'll find out this weekend.

Laurabelle, I don't think I will be able to try the Shettles method or anything else, just too anxious for a bfp! Don't want to waste any months trying anything else. Especially for a girl, you really have to guess at your ovulation. I guess if we end up with baby boy #6, that is what God wanted for us. I guess I just always thought I would have a girl. Oh well. Hopefully I will be fertile within the next couple of weeks.
Rach, is the Fertility Blend a tea? I have never tried anything like that. Let us know if you notice any changes. Hopefully it will work the first time!
Baygirl, Kierrasmommy, Iwannabeamommy, how is it going?
KP1111, let us know if you test!

Living4Him,
I see what you meaning about being anxious for the bfp! We haven't even tried yet and I can already see that I wouldn't want to try the Shettles method for too long. Anyhow, I am getting more and more fertile. I am expecting that temperature dip or positve opk anytime now!! CM has really increased today! I can't wait! I just want to try try try! *sigh*
Good luck everyone! I think just about all of us are BDing this weekend in order to ttc. Enjoy!

Hey everyone, things are going awful. As I am unsure of my ovulation date we have be "busy" for the last 5 days. Tonight i believe the pressure has gotten to my DH and he was unable to perform. Not good - considering the critical timing of it all. Will try again in the morning. anyone have any advice from keeping things from getting to "by the calender". We have never, ever had a problem like this before. I don't know anymore. Very depressing.

Baygirl,
This is my first month ttc...so I don't have a lot of advice yet but I will say this...I used an ovulation prediction kit. Not the expensive monitors but the packs of 5 or 7 sticks that you can buy and use much like a pregnancy test. It seems to have worked great! I got my first positve opk yesterday morning. It was very noticable, so easy for me to read. I used them 2 times a day. Around noon and then around 10pm. I didn't drink a lot of liquid and I would try not to go to the bathroom for 3-4 hours before taking the test.
You may want to look into it. The price will probably add up month after month but it seemed to have work well to time ovulation. My temperature incrased today so I think that means I may have ovulated and had perfect timing last night. We'll see...I hope. Try it out. The packages say to do it once a day but I do it 2 times a day. With 1 time a day you may miss your LH surge. With 2 times a day you are sure to see the surge. I used Clear Blue Easy and bought it at Walmart wheere it seemed to be the cheapest. These particular ones had 7 in them and even came with a free pregnancy test!
Best of luck with timing! Hopefully you won't have a next cycle to worry about it becuase you'll be preggo!
