Hello everyone! :) I'm not surprised to see that this topic is getting overlooked...not many people are concerned with their health. I know I wasn't. I started smoking cigarettes when I was 11. Tried my share of drugs and drinking. Ate fast food all the time, drank wayyyyyy too much soda lol So I'm 18, I don't do drugs, I hardly drink but I still smoke cigarettes. I'm now living out of my home state of California about to begin college. One night I get so sick and I don't know what's going on...I was so afraid. We went to the hospital. The doctor told me that I had blood clots on my lungs and I will have to be hospitalized and given blood thinners for 3 months! Of course I freak out. 30 minutes later, he comes in to apologize about the mistake. Phew! But then there's still concerns, well if that's not what is wrong...what is? So this goes on for months of me getting tossed around of doctors and stuff. They take out my gallbladder (purely as a guess lol) Do all kinds of tests, im hospitalized twice. All to find out...I just have a thyroid problem...something that has been overlooked. Im severely hypothyroid with that Hashimotos autoimmune disease. However, that whole experience has changed my life dramatically. Ever since that night I got sick, I have not smoked one cigarette, I have not even had the desire to. I eat very healthy, fruits vegetables fish no fast food. I drink water like crazy and besides water I basically only drink small glasses of juice and gatorade and I exercise everyday!...because I want to :) And its such a great feeling! I just wanted to share that with everyone, because I am proud of myself. :D Thanks :)
