I have been having heart palpitations for the past couple of weeks. I told my Dr. and he didn't say anything after listening to my heart , but I am still worried. This is something new. I have heard they can be caused by anxiety but I'm not anxious about anything right now. Except now the palpitations. I never had them to this extend before. I hate the feeling.

Alot of people have them, and they can be normal in regular healthy people.. Did you tell your DR you were having them? What did he say?
I will tell you this, Anxiety can play a HUGE role in Palpatations.. Anxiety releases addrenalin and addrenalin can cause palpatations.. you have to be careful of anxiety it can play tricks on you.. you feel a palpatation, you start getting really nervous about it, then you are thinking about it non stop, which is making them come more, and then it starts all over again, it's a constant circle.
Do you smoke? Drink Coffee or any caffinated drinks? Those can also play a huge role in Palpatations.. but I would talk to your DR and tell him what is going on.. it could be something simple as stress or anxiety. Try to relax and not think about them, I know it's hard.

Thanks for the reply. I do drink caffeine but not a lot, I will try not to worry about them. I haven't had any today - so far! my dr. didn't say anything, but he did listen to my heart.
