I take my BP and pulse every morning when I wake up. This morning I had to goe the bathroom REALLY,REALLY bad but took my pulse and BP anyway. My BP was normal but my HR was 79bpm. I average 65-72bpm. Do you think it was because I should've used the bathroom first?

It depends on whether it was #1 or #2. A hard strain due to #2, could have increased your heart rate ~7 bpm, whilst a good whiz would probably not have caused the increase. Good luck.
