Does anyone know of a lip plumper that really works? One of my friends said she knew of one at Sally's but we couldn't find it when we went in there. She said it made her lips plumper for like 4 hours.
Thanks!

Lip Medex from Blistex actually plumps your lips up, but don't know how great it would be underneath lipstick.

This may sound weird, but I read in Allure magazine that putting a little cayenne pepper on your lips before any other makeup increase blood flow to the area, giving a temporary "plumping" effect. I haven't tried it yet, though.

I think the one they sell at Victoria's Secret is very good. It's the first one I ever tried so i can't compare it with any other product.

Sally Hansen makes one, you can get it at Walmart or Target, next to all her nail care stuff. It works just as good as all the others! I used to use the Victoria's Secret one, too, but Sally's is a lot cheaper!

has anyone tried DuWop Lip Venom? I just bought it off of ebay and I'm curious to see how others feel about it =P It's supposed to have cinnamon and other things that plump up your lips.. and you can use it over lipstick. its a gloss.

I have seen one by Sally Hansen, never tried it though. I was curious to, does anyone know if it actually works?

I have the sally hansen lip plumper and it doesn't plump your lips at all, it's basically just a concealer for lips. I use it for when I want a nude lip color since I have a lot of pigment in my lips.

kimzi81... I just recently tried the DuWop Lip Venom and I did find it plumped my lips but very, very uncomfortably. I was afraid to kiss my husband! The ingredients (avocado oil, etc) I feel is WAY TOO STRONG. At first my lips tingled, then they out-right stung! Their slogan is "get stung" and they're not kidding. What is your opinion? ~ *

NV Perricone Lip Plumper works really well. When you put it on your lips it tingles for a few minutes. I recommend that you don't use it if you have chapped lips. You can get it on-line or at Sephora.

whoa grlfrnd i know what you're talking about. i just got the lip venom today and yea it made my lips a gorgeous shade of pink and it definately plumped, but the stinging sensation wouldn't go away! i only kept it on for about 10 minutes though (i tried it on right before i got ready for bed) i do like it though.. i like the color it made my lips a lot.. but i dont think i could kiss my boyfriend.. i dont think i have feeling in my lips while its on. lol. at least it does its job =P

kimzi81 - Ditto about the loss of feeling in your lips... my lips go numb! I've found that if you apply a regular lipstick, then apply just a dab of the Lip Venom for shine, it's less painful and still does the trick. The things we do to look beautiful! ~ *

Where can you find the DuWop Lip Venom? I looked at PureBeauty and also at Ulta and neither of them had it. It isn't available at Sephora.com, so I suspect it isn't at their stores either. Any suggestions?

I have read on other boards that while DuWop does work good it does not even compare to what City Lips does. I have not tried either one so I could not say. Though I do plan on trying City Lips soon. Just thought I would throw another product name in the mix....smiles

Hi, While I know that you are all talking about lip plumping creams, I have a mechanism that i got a couple of weeks ago that works great. It's this thing called Luscious Lips, and it's a tube suction device that you put on your mouth and it actually sucks more blood into your lips. You have to train your lips for a week or so by using it only 2 to 6 seconds a day, but after that, it takes about a minute and a half ad the results last pretty much all day long.
Be careful, though, I did it too long the first time and i had that puffy pillow lip over-collagened look that actresses get when they go over the top at the plastic surgeon.
One downside is I only want my bottom lip puffier, and haven't figured out a way to do it without making the top lip bigger too. Other than that, I would say it's one of those products that you are psyched to discover after wishing for something like it for so many years.
It cost around $35 online.
