View Full Version : Always something to worry about

Does anyone else realize there is always some sort of big thing to worry about? I mean there is so much stuff out there that chances are you can always drive yourself nuts with worry at almost anytime. Ill run down some of the things that used to freak me out at times: the flu, insomnia, high blood pressure, hurricanes, heart problems. I think instead of trying to make all our worries go away, which is very unlikely because their is always something around the corner; we need to just toughen up and say so what my blood pressure is a little high, the flu is out there but I’m young and I can take it if its happens, and so what I slept for 5 hours last night I’m not killing myself. Stop being a baby about everything and live a little with problems! We used to live out in forest with animals trying to eat us! I guess my point is that you will always have something to worry about but just try to put it in context and don’t freak yourself out. Also don’t let the media scare you with all their health tips and crap. Were a lot tougher and can take a lot more than we think! Plus once you stop worrying about all this stuff your anxiety levels will drop and you’ll start feeling better.

You are so right but sometimes it is easier said than done. It would be great to be like that and some days I am. However, some days I just can't get it together.

What a great positive attitude to have! I wish I could think that way everyday, but you're so right, there is always to much to worry about in this world that it will literally drive you crazy. But, trying to keep a positive mindset does help a little.

To me it seems like the people who get anxiety and have anxiety problems are all people with similar personalities. We are people who are not only intensee people, but are deep, sensitive, loving, caring, emotional and vulnerable all at the same time. Our sensitive feelings towards so many different experiences and things in this world overloads us, therefore causing anxiety.

This being said, to have a positive outlook and attitude can only help us with all the craziness.

fmor76 - you are so right about us having similar personalities. Sometimes I wish that I was not so sensative and could be like others and just let some feelings roll off my back. My husband is like that. He can disengage himself and always falls asleep when his head hits the pillow.

I hear something bad that happens to someone that I don't even know and I am right there in their shoes feeling some of what they are feeling. So I have many experiences, not only my own, but also some one else's.

I would like to be that other person sometimes who just goes through life and doesn't let things upset them. Having said that, however, my husband had 5 bypasses, so maybe that way isn't the best. Who knows.
