My optometrist told me today that I have a cholesterol deposit near my retina, something he called Hollenhorst plaque. Does anyone know anything about this? I've been researching it, and it's typically something found only in the elderly (I'm 24). It is often also a sign of a serious cholesterol problem. This doesn't make any sense, as I am very careful about what I eat and I try to exercise regularly. I'm not overweight. Please help. Thanks.
