Hey everyone! Im knew to the boared and I am supposively diagnosed with Bipolar.. I always have some strange reason that the first doctor thatdiagnosed me was wrong... i dont kno if im going crazy or what.. i think they got it mixed up with deppression.. when i take my antipyscotic meds for "bi polar" it seems to make me worse... and now i just stopped taking it and i feel so much better.. . i dont kno what to do.. any body feel me.. ! haa could the doctors be wrong?! please post back~! sarah :bouncing:

How long did you take your meds and what were they?

Yes - I would like to see what they were. You gotta bang that doctor's door down if you think you're getting worse! It's your RIGHT! But, I think you should try again, but this time make sure you get appointments atleast once a week, just for awhile. AND, try to mention GEODON to him/her. It worked for me, (as far as anti-psychotics go...)

yea.. well now it has been about two weeks... i said i stopped taking my meds.. now i am in a huge mess.. i am so depressed and dont even want to go out.. i am very scared .. i dont kno why. and when i get like this i tend to pick at my face.. and then thats when i kno i am getting manic.. any one else have this problem?

Same thing happened to me. I stopped all my meds adn shortly fell apart after. I was on geodon and depakote. In my situatio it was the geodon that was not agreeing with my system. I am now on zyprexa and buspar which have me fellling a little better. As someone else said you have to knock down the dooor of these people and tell them how you are feeling. Leavng a message isnt good enough. Continue to calll until you actually speak to someone. I finally learned the hard way. And is things are falling apart that bad go to the hospital, talk to somebody.

The same thing happened to me, I stopped taking my meds and went hay wire. I almost left my husband and my children and was on the verge of anorexia but my mother in law stopped me cold in my tracks and made me realize I needed to be in the hospital, I went in and was diagnosed with bi polar,( before I was just on meds for depression) but now I'm still not feeling all that great and have talked to my counselor and my physc doc I told them I think about suicide all the time. And they asked have you come up with a plan? Well NO!!! If I had come up with a plan I would be dead. But what ever they are the professionals right? Hmm makes ya wonder.
