Has anyone read this book? I got it yesterdat and it's really interesting. It's a holistic approach to treat chronic sinusitis and allergies. He recommeneds a diet eliminating dairy, sugar, alcohol, etc. also takinf vit C, E, flax oil, etc.
has anyone tried this protocol????? I'm in my wits end and I will follow his recommendations. He also recommends doing the daily irrigation with the neti pot... and a bunch of other things.
Anyone?

Another good read on chronic sinus suffering is Living with Chronic Sinusitis: A Patient's Guide to Sinusitis, Nasal Allegies, Polyps and their Treatment Options
by David W. Kennedy, Marilyn Olsen

I have the Sinus Survival book, and it is pretty good. Lots of information about irrigation, supplements, etc.

However, I DO NOT recommend an elimination diet or "candida" diet of any kind. There is no scientific evidence these diets do anything, unless you have a diagnosed food allergy. because these diets are very low in soluble fiber, they can cause all sorts of gastro-intestinal problems.

Eating a Baby Ruth is not going to make your sinuses worse. This is silly.

Other than that, the book is worth picking up if you are a "newbe". Much of the same information can be gotten from here.
