Hi-
In the past week or so I have been very anxious (just found out I am pregnant - 4 weeks) and I have not been sleeping very well and I can't concentrate worth anything. The sad part is I feel it is affecting my work. I am typically a very anxious person to begin with and it just seems it is getting worse. I feel often that I am in another world, I forget information people share with me, repeat to people things I have already shared with them and just feel I can't keep my head above water - no focus, no nothing. Anyone else feel this way and if so, what did they do to relieve this to be able to relax - concentrate better and not be so forgetful and make so many mistakes?????HELP!

Hey I know what you mean. I have a hard time sitting down and concentrating on anything myself. I can go for a while but then like 15 min I get bored and want to do something else. The only thing you can do is to relax and try to get yourself calm enough to concentrate. When your hyped up and anxious your attention span really shrinks. It just comes with the territory.

So how do you relax, what do you do?

deep slow breathing helps a lot
also concentrate on letting go of all excessive tension in your muscles, gentle exercise also helps
