I was scheduled for my leep this friday and my dr's office called me this am to confirm my appt and asked when my last period was and I told her I got it on Saturday late afternoon....and I should be almost done, in the very very light stage on Friday for the procedure. She said I need to be several days over my period....so I am set for next THursday, although she is seeing me on Friday for a quick look (colposcopy) and to check for healing from my biopsies. Has anyone heard of this,,,,the period thing needing to be completely over?

I remember on the handout my Dr gave me about the LEEP said that it was best to have it done within 2 weeks after your period but I don't remember why.
