I have post discectomy scar tissue that is impinging a nevre at the l4-5 level.
A friend of mine has sugessted seeing a chiro and getting treatment using the Axiom DRX9000 machine. Has anyone had successful treatment from this machine? Has anyone had a surface EMG? If yes was it useful?

It is my understanding Adcon L was removed from the back surgery market due to falsification of test results although it was very successful for a lot of people. The new scar retardant is Oxiplex but it is only in the test phase.
I actually tried this with no luck. I had 2 buldging discs L4-S1. I had been through all of the standard non surgical treatments with no avail. My doctor sent me to the drx after I mentioned it to him. He had never sent anyone ther before so I was his "guinea pig". I went faithfully for about 3 months. Noth only was I treated on the drx, I was required to do physical therapy. I complied with all of the rules and really tried to make the best of it but I had no luck. There were people at the center that I spoke to who thought it was wonderful. I actually hurt more after leaving the building. I ended up having a 2 level posterior fusion with hardware. I guess if you have tried all of your options and want to do one more thing before going under the kinfe it couldn't hurt. It definately is a big commitment though and a lot of insurance companies will not cover it. Good Luck.
