Im 18 years old and Ive just found a lump underneath my right breast; it's red, not very hard, and not painful, but I'm really worried that it's cancer...I'm a complete worrier anyway but now, I am actually unable to sleep because of it...
I'm at uni, away from home, which makes it worse as usually I would just ask my mum for some reassurance...I plan to go to the uni health centre first thing tomorrow but I'm still really scared...
Can anyone help?

I had a mass show up on my first routine mammogram a few months ago, so believe me, I know the intense fear you are experiencing!
Keep in mind that most lumps are NOT cancerous and especially at your age, it would be rare. Nevertheless though, it would be very wise to let a medical professional look at it. Even if its not cancer, which is probably is NOT, it may be something like an infection which would need treatment.
Be sure to let us know what you find out.
