View Full Version : discogram

My discogram will be scheduled for Nov 10. I had a good visit with my PM doc and he gave me a new script for meds. I mentioned in a previous post that my neck pain had diminished: Today it hurts really bad, but more the muscles: I slept poorly last night as my back pain was bad. I woke up twice with my hip burning. I carry all my stress in my neck and shoulders, and after my LPN test, the pain started to subside. So, I think my overall feelings affect my neck: like my back pain getting bad, so my neck starts hurting more b/c of stress. Makes sense to me. So, if I do have surgery, I think I will opt only for the lumbar area, and try muscle relaxers, neurontin (for pinched nerve) and arthritis meds for my spondy, and just focus on the back. If it were to get worse, then I could look further. But, we will see!
I should know what will be done by the end of November, I hope!

I am glad your appt went well, I have a injection for my neck today. I had a SI last week and it did not do anything. It is such a pain to have it in the neck and lumbar. Good luck on the discogram.

thanks everyone! You know-this pain stuff is really irritating me. Just when I say that my neck pain has lessened, it hit full force today! GOSH! It is stuff like this that makes me so confused when making a decision!
