Hello everyone. My baby is 6 weeks old and at about 3 weeks we found out she had reflux. The doctor has had me add rice cereal to her feedings and she is on reglan and zantac. She seemed to slowly start feeling better. Then for like 5 days she was great. She sound congested all the time and has a hard time breathing. She snizzes and coughs alot. Sometimes she starts choking on it. A couple of times she had done the projectle vomit(spit up). Anyways things got bad again this week and i took her back to the doctor. They said that she also had laryngotracheomalasia. Something to do with the windpipe clapsing a little bit when she breaths. They said it would never claspe completely on her. They said that at six months of age they usually grow of this and the reflux too. Has anyone else out there had babies with these problems? This is really hard to deal with. I feel so bad for my little girl. They pretty much said they have done all they can do short of surgery and they won't do that b/c she probably will grow out of it. Which i don't want her to do surgery anyways. I just feel so bad for her. She is having an awful time. I just want to cry.Any suggestion on how to get through this.
