I heard a lot of stuff on this board about olive oil! I was wondering how to use it, which kind to use, and how often to use it, and what are the benefits and how is it better than regular oil free moisturizers?? Oh, and what kind of skin do you have if it works for you? Thanks a bunch!

Olive oil is very greasy and is suited for very dry skin. You can use all the olive oils and just apply a small amount to your fingers, smooth it on then you choose when you want to wash it off.It would be best to wash it off before you make contact with anything as you may get the oil onto something e.g pillow.
Hope I`ve helped xxxxxxx

I have oily skin and use olive oil. I love it. It is not too oily at all. Make sure to use extra virgin olive oil only. I pour a very small amount in my hand, less than the size of a dime and I rub that on my palms and then PAT it all over my face, and then rub it in a little more. The stuff works great. I have smoother skin, glowing skin, less blackheads, I guess it loosens up clogged pores, and it doesn't clog them. I put a little more on my upper and undereye area and lips. And for my body I use it all over. It will help fade stretch marks and lines and wrinkles and it will smooth your skin. It has lot's of vitamin E and it has vit. K and other vitamins and Omega 3 fatty acids and Omega 6 fatty acids and lots of other good stuff. I don't find it greasy at all, it's barely oily, it sinks right into your skin, especially my hands, and quickly too, not like rubbing in lotion. I'm just careful not to over use it. It works good for me. Some people don't like it.

I agree, the extra virgin olive oil is great for skin, and I also use it in my hair (just 2 or 3 drops). It makes my hair really soft and shiny. Those Italian women know what they're doing!

Try extra virgin olive oil (the green looking oil) -that is from the first pressing of the olive. Even look at your local "job lot" type stores, I sometimes get a huge bottle of the EV oil for 5 bucks! I agree it works great for all types of skin and shouldnt break you out.

I use DHC VIRGIN OLIVE OIL. It is not cheap but it's worth it. You can find it on the internet they have a website. I got mine from ebay a little cheaper then regular price. Try it, you'll love it. I even use it in the morning under my foundation. The best face oil I ever tried!
