Hi, Well I had my appt this morning with the Dr who will perform the leep (Nov 5). I originally went to a gyno who could see me quick since I had a HSIL Cin 3 pap result. She did the biopsies and they came back cin 2 and cin 3. The gyno that came HIGHLY recommended is the one I saw today. She did a colposcopy and said my biopsies are healing well and when she applied the vinegar solution she saw no abnormal areas, and thinks the biopsies may have removed them but she still insists on the LEEP since all it takes is one little cell to change from CIN 3 to cancer. Since my ECC was benign she said she could do the LEEP in her office. The first gyno I went to only does them in the hospital asleep. I really dont want to be put to sleep! I have read posts about leep procedures and dont feel that scared. I am dreading the shots! I can either have the licocaine/epinepherine shot, or just the lidocaine. I have Mitral Valve prolapse and a systolic heart murmur so I think the epi shot will just be trouble..my dentist wont even use epi on me. Heres my questoins/concerns
1)Has anyone had no epi shot? The Dr said that I will bleed more and she will need to cauterize me.
2) How long do they actually have the needle inside of you?
3)Once you are numb can you feel any pain when they remove the tissue?
4)For those of you who have had it, were you anxious? And if so would you be anxious if you had to have it again now that you know what to expect?
5) How long does it take to actually remove tissue and be off the table ready to go?
Thanks for you replies,
Kelly
