is there a posiblity that if a person does not eat for 20 or so hours that the lack of food will increase the persons Heart Rate? just wondering cause it happened to me today, i did not have anything to eat all day and last time i did eat was yesterday around 7. just wonderin

EDIT, it seems that my heart is just chillen at 90-110 when im sitting or working and its under 90 when im sleeping. I take 25mg Toprol XL and 500mg of MAG a day, tho i may take one more right now. i just ate a whole box of mac n' cheese maybe two hours ago and i have FREQUENT pvcs. what are some good things to do to keep my HR while at work and out on the town. and should i ask my doc for a different drug or just to increase my dose?

Fasting will generally LOWER a person's (and cattle and penguins:D:D) heart rate, rather than raise it.
Evolution has made the very logical choice (it ALWAYS does) to SLOW the body down in times of food scarcity!

...but dehydration results in an increased heart rate. Now, I will leave it up to Zip to figure out what the net effect on the HR will be if someone is in starvation and dehydration mode :blob_fire I better start running for cover now ;)

hmmm it could have been that, i dont think i had anything to dring in around 6 hours besides a milk shake, that and i only had 6 hours of sleep...OOORRRR it could be that i think too much about my heart rather then live my life.
