For the past couple of days, I have been having what feels like tightness in a very small area right under my collarbone on the left side. It doesnt radiate anywhere else, nor is there any sharp pain or heaviness. It seems to be off and on unless I am laying down, then I dont have it. Exercise doesnt make it happen. I dont have any pain in the center of my chest, but I have been having alot of acid reflux.

Even though this "feeling" is higher up (just beneath the collar bone), could this be something with the heart or just a muscle??

I am scheduled to see a cardiologist but not until Nov. 11th. I dont know whether to try and see a doctor sooner:(

It doesn't sound like heart related pain to me, but only medical folks can tell for sure. If in doubt, go to one of the walk in med facilities, that is open on the weekend. They can take all your vital signs and perform an EKG. This should reassure you, or get you to an ER for further treatment, if needed.

Jack, thanks! I was hoping you would respond since you've dealt with heart issues for a while. I have decided that if it gets any worse or I feel pain in other areas that I will just go to the ER.

Jack, I pretty much ignored this "tightness". I went to bed last night and I woke up this morning feeling dizzy. I was also extremely stuffy, my throat was scratchy, lots of coughing, and I felt like I couldnt breathe. The "tightness" has gone away and so have the other symptoms. I have no idea what it was but im gonna go checked out tomorrow, although im sure this wasnt heart related. I have never been checked for asthma. I know I have some allergies and im not taking anything for it. I have never been this stuffy even with a bad cold!

FrontierDriver,
It sounds like you have a bronchial infection that you first noticed as a pain under your collarbone.
It will probably become clearer in the next couple days as the symptoms get more telltale.

Zip, thanks! I think you are right. Again this morning I am dizzy, sneezing, and stuffy. This is a pain since my commute is an hour each way.

I just had some intense pain under the right collar bone area. When I breath all the way out it would go away. Then when I breathe in it would come back
