I just completed a full cycle of A/C chemo which didn't really work for me. I have mets to both lungs, liver and the small of my back. The lesions in my lungs and back actually grew during the A/C round of chemo, so the Dr's are switching me to weekly doses of Navelbine.

Does anyone have any experience with the side effects of this drug?

Just bumping this to the top.

Can't they do a chemo sensitivity testing to see which chemo will work best?

Yes, but the results of those tests aren't very accurate b/c the cells behave very differently in a petri dish than in the body.

I've been on Navelbine for 4 wks now and notice only a few side effects: soreness in right arm (injection arm), tingling in my fingertips sometimes. It does do a number on my white blood cell count though!

Here's to 3 more doses!
