Hi, are you male or female? Have you had your thyroid checked out?

are you or have you been on birth control? have you had any bloodwork done... you could be anemic (low iron)

Also - have you been on crash diets, or any issues related to that? Or surgery?

im female..

My blood work is normal.. i have slightly high cholesterol thats all. i have had this for several months.

No surgery.. no crash diet.. just eating more healthier.

I dont eat that much though, but i just dont eat unhealthy food. I exercise.. running 2 miles a day at least 5-6 days a week.

is there anything i can use????

my hair is naturally curly too.. i rarely straighten it.

Could it be the water?? My mom and i had a discussion, cuz like my dad's hair is thinning and so is my mom.. my sister's hair is falling off too. My parents dye their hair a lot which the hair loss could be cause by the ammonia.

It may be that you arent getting enough iron (anemia) or proteins, ameno acids etc - that is key for hair. Its very common for people who eat small amts of food or who 'fast' to lose hair.

what blood tests did you have done. the standard ones arent enough - theres a whole battery of ones for women that need to be done for this. Three types of iron, 3 types of testosterone, FSH, LH, (thyroid) dhea/dheas, Insulin and cortisol, glucose tolerance, etc etc.

You can also have normal levels but be sensitive to something like testosterone and that would make it fall out. Look into PCOS as wel. Do you have any other symptoms - skin problems, oily scalp/skin, acne, difficulty losing weight, any extra hair on body, etc....

I'll make an appt to get another blood work done.. but so far, im healthy.. This has been going on for more than 3 months now.

I started doing the old fashion indian way, by apply coconut oil on my hair every night. See how that goes.

hey crazyaboutblue, look into an all natural product called Revivogen. I've heard many women have had great success with this product but it is a bit pricey. Also, you can always go the Rogaine/Minox route but once you start that you have to stick with it!

Does anyone know anything about laser therapy for baldness?
Does it work?
