Hi fellow sugar watchers! Things were going pretty good for me over the last few months. I found I could sneak a little treat once in a while and not upset my sugar levels. This simply means a small piece of pie or cake once in a while. Yum Yum!

Now I know many of you type 2'rs are up there is age and if you're like me you have a few aches and pains due to old injuries or maybe just worn our joints. I just recently was suffering from massive swelling in my elbow that required draining along with a cordizone shot. Ouch! During my visit I mentioned that also had a foot problem. The doctor gave me a prescription and off I went. Two days later my BS was out of control! I had not changed one thing and could not understand so I called my Endo and within a few minutes of conversation the riddle was solved. PREDIZONE! It is a steroid and will cause insulin resistancy. Gee, I already have that problem. Well I dropped medication from my dailys and within 24 hours my numbers were back to 120 and lower. Funny thing is it had no effect on my fasting numbers but just eat something and my BS would shoot up over 200, (2 hours after meal). Yikes!

Just a heads for those who may not have known and for those who already did or suspected it, I am here to confirm it!
