whenever I have a bowel movement in the morning they usually tend to be soft but whenever I have one in the afternoon or evening they are hard. Does anyone know a possible reason behind this?? I have most of bowel movements in the morning.

This actually happens to me sometimes... I think it's because I am more relaxed/stress-free in the morning. By the end of the day, after I have worked all day, I know I am a little more stressed and tense. And I know that can cause BM's to be a little harder.

Just my 2 cents!

The job of your colon is to absorb water from your stool. I think probably does that better when you are more active. But, this is just speculation??? It is know that moving around ---like just walking helps circulation.
