Hello,

I'm a 26 year old female and I've been having problems with both eyes for 5 months now. I've been through multiple eye specialists, and am currently being sent down a line of them because no one here at my hospital has seen anything like it before.

I have multiple large inflammed lines and lumps that grow on the white part of my eyes and I have serve pain and inflammation on and around my eyes. I also have extreme redness all around the area that it breaks out on. This however does not affect my vision in anyway. In a chest x-ray that was taken revealed two other lumps (they call them "nodules") on my right lung. We still, though don't know if the two are related. I had a head CT but everything can back normal. I've had multiple blood tests, and still nothing. They keep telling me that whatever it is it's extremly rare.

The lumps come and go and usually last 2-3 weeks. But I haven't been without at leat one for up to 5 months. It just keeps on getting worse and more servere with each new occurance.

Everytime I see a new doctor the first question they ask me is "Have you been to a third world country?" I've never travelled anywhere in my life!

They are all stumped and now they are just giving me pain pills, becuase the pain can get unbarale.

They also, keep taking pictures of my eyes becuase it's so interesting to them.

They currently have me on topical steroid drops for my eyes, but they seem to do nothing at all. And I've been on them now for 3 months.

If anyone has any ideas on what it could be, please reply to me.

Thanks in advance

Tara,

I don't know where you live, but I am going to an eye doctor in Tampa, FL Dr. Kwitko and I have been told he is the best. Actually is a mircale worker. (long story) Dr. Spoor in MI trained Dr. Kwitko.

Dr. Kwitko is [ removed ]
Dr Spoor [ removed ]

Calcium deposits? I had them on my eye, but I couldn't see them. But they were seriously painful. I was already blind in that eye and they gave me the option of getting them scraped or having my eye removed. I opted for the removal with a glass eye afterwards. They don't seem to be harmful other than the serious pain. I was born blind in right eye so I know it wasn't from the calcium deposits. Might want to throw that idea to your doctor!

Is your condition anything like the condition I described below that my mother is dealing with?

My mother has been very uncomfortable and complaining that she feels like there is something constantly in her eyes. She finally went to see and eye doctor who sent her to a specialist.

The specialist told her that her condition is known as Cicatrical Pemphigoid. The condition has something to do with her auto immune system. He explained scar tissue is growing under her eyelid and will continue to grow and if it is not controlled will eventually grow over the eye and eventually lead to blindness.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Does anyone know of any holistic measures to control or clear up this condition? Do food/inside/outside allergies have anything to do with her condition?

Thank you,
