i fortunately don't suffer from a GI condition although i can sympathize with those that do. a month or so ago i ran across one of the newspaper doc articles in my local paper and somebody was talking about crohns disease or maybe it was colitis... i truly don't remember...i'm posting this merely to initiate a process that COULD potentially assist somebody.
somebody, and i believe some research is being done on (are you ready for this?) coconut macaroons....i don't know who makes these things...if you can just get archway or nabisco things or some special baker's recipe, however somebody in this article was afflicted horribly and he or she started eating coconut macaroons and over time they don't have the probs any more...
this post is not a joke...if this has already been mentioned on this board please just ignore this.
