 Hi ya guys n girls,,
well Just found this site after many attempts for help on the net.
I was wondering if anyone could give any helpful info on what has happened to my husband 3 months ago.
Basically he was attacked with a metal clamp in his left eye.
He ended up with several fractures and one was a fractured orbit(eye socket).
He has had this repaired few months ago they placed a metal mesh plate into the socket to hold his eyeball up.The nerves in the left side of his face were damaged and had to be rerouted. So now his face is quite numbe on the left side,,,which he doesn`t know if he will get back or not.
He is still get some double vision when he looks certain ways,,,,the vision straight on is better, but he cannot judge distances,,always trying to brake for me(lol)
He also has blurred vision when he looks to his left and cannot make the image out with his bad eye.
He is finding reading newspapers and mags at a normal distance like we would is very blurring he cannot make out the print, also texting on his phone he finds hard. The left pupil is also dilated.
So i was basically wondering has anyone been through this (i hope not)or can anyone give us some good info.He is seeing the eye specialist in dec to about his vision.
It has got him very down, as he is a very keen motorcyclist and he is finding very hard to come to terms he may not be able to ride like he did.
Any info would be gratley appreciated.
