Hello everyone, I've decided to take an acidophilus supplement nearly a week ago.

The brand is Jamieson (Canadian company).
It claims to have 5 billion active cells.
I'm currently taking it once daily, usually in the morning right after I wake up with a glass of water.

Would this be a good time to take it ??? Or should I switch it to some other time of the day ???

I'd appreciate your help on this. Thanks !!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Switch---The best time to take Lactobacillus cultures like acidophilus is on an empty stomach like just before bed. Stomach acids destroy the bacteria. They are also hurt by heat so should be stored in the fridge.

A very good brand that you may want to order is PB-8 put out by Nutrition Now---- it has 8 different active cultures.
You can order it online for up to 50% off!!!

I use PB-8 (Pro-Biotics Acidophilus). Where I live they sell it at GNC so you might want to check there (if there is a GNC where you live).
