ya know...I have read what everyone writes, and it seems no (2) people have exactly the same thing. My preliminary culture came back negative, as did the strep culture. Yet, I have EVERY symptom as the people I have read about here, and to make it worse, my very painful symptoms are in their 4th week, showing no signs of abatement.I am on my second (10) day round of Valtrex..is it helping..I have no clue. Some days I get excited cause I think it's going away, then I wake up and it's just as bad if not worse. I am also taking Lysine and using peroxide. Now on top of the external symptoms, I have internal burning and itching, like a yeast infection, along with a couple real nice painful lesions by my belly button. I can't take much more. I don't remember what it's like to NOT have this. I had read about people and their anger, and now I understand. I find myself looking at people WHILE I'M FOOD SHOPPING ( and trying not to stop and grab myself from the pain n itch) and wondering if they have experienced this misery, cause the statistics say they do, but no one looks as miserable as I feel. I don't know how to handle this. Am I the only one that feels this way??? Will I EVER get any relief??

No, you're not the only one to feel this way, and YES-- your body will get a handle on this and you will, once again, know what it is like to feel "normal" down there.
It's funny what you said about being out shopping and wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this. When I first realized I had herpes, I was constantly looking at people and wondering if they did too. I did it with famous people as well. Odds are, a lot of them do! When I'm in a crowd, sometimes I imagine separating the people who have it (a fifth or a quarter or so) and going "hey--- you too? No way!".
It would make it so much easier if everyone didn't keep it so hush hush.
Anyway, I think we all understand needing to vent on occasion, especially when experiencing the frustration of a seemingly-neverending outbreak, but just have faith that your body will get it under control--- develop the antibodies that it needs and learn to handle it when an OB starts to come on.
Until then, I'm sure you've read enough on this board to know that stress and certain foods are going to be detrimental to the healing process.
Also, your yeast infections may be an actual yeast infection. Just because you have herpes doesn't mean that you can't have a yeast infection as well. Maybe get some probiotics (acidopholis, etc) and take them as well right now. I was feeling "questionable" down there the other day--- definitely felt like a yeast infection, and I did one vinegar/water douche and then started with the probiotics and it make a load of difference.
Good luck and stick with this board--- it's an amazing source of support.
