hi there, guys,
it has now been about 3 months since i tested positive for herpes, and i stll have not had any signs of having it. i got a blood test, which i hear is inaccurate, so my doctor did a vaginal culture too and said it came up positive. then i heard other people on here say that the culture only comes up positive if you are having an outbreak, and i was not having an out break, she checked for that.
then anotehr friend of mine whose girlfriend has herpes, told me that you cannot be diagnosed with it until you have a visible outbreak. i have never had coldsores either, though, so why would i have antibodies in my blood?
don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining about ths, but i would like to know, especially when i have potential sex partners. should i consider myself negative or just having a dormant form of herpes?
thank you
