I just started Strattera as of yesterday, my first inatial feeling was almost a great sensation, but not a hyper feeling, just an over feeling of well being! Is this normal? Today, it's less intense!
The doctor told me the only way I will know if this medicine will work for me, is to give Strattera at least a month, is this a common suggestion by doctors for this particular drug?

It's common for Straterra because it acts like an anti-depression medication in the fact that it takes time to build up and work in your system. Of course the downside is it also takes time to leave your system so when changing meds or discontinuing you will go through withdrawal.

I've heard of straterra work for some but am not a big fan of it. Stimulants get a bad rap but are much safer then these build up and wait to see meds. I take adderall, not only does it work great for me but it enters and leaves my system the same day and works instantly.

Anyway I got off track but to answer your question yes Straterra will not work completely until it has time to build up in your system.
