hey everyone, I saw my opth doc again 4th time since I saw him because of dry eyes and today he metiones to me that my optic never are forming together and he may suspect glucoma.

I am only 20 years old and I am refer to opth glucoma spec. What do I do ?

Does this mean I will go blind ?

How did I get glucoma ?? Can you get that from someone.

I don't think one can catch it. It just occurs.

Bontok: I think that way sometimes, but I figure we're here for a reason so we have to stick it out.

I hope the doctor can treat the glaucoma, if that's what it is.

Good luck to you.

I was 12 when I was diagnosed. (22 now) honestly it's not that bad. Just requires daily drops. And with management you shouldn't go blind at all.

I'm not exactly sure of all the potential causes. I know having cateract surgery can put you in a higher risk for it later on....which is what happened in my case.

Good luck.
